B5 S4 or B6 A4?
If I were to get one, which one should it be? The S4 would obviously be faster, but they are hard to find, and most have at least 70k miles or over. I'm worried about getting one and then having to replace the turbos pretty soon. But do the 1.8ts have a lot of potential? I could definitely get an A4 with lower miles, but I don't know if I would still be better off with the older S4. Thanks for the help.
Ultimately, I think maintenance cost for an S4 would be less than the cost of upgrading an A4 and maintaining it also. On the other hand, I like the B6 body so much better and the interior is nicer. That's what I went with. The A4 def has potential but it will take you more money/time.
B5 S4 has 250 hp... Get a b6 A4, and go APR Stage 1 + and you're at 235 hp and 275 lbs of torque... For like 750 bucks. Mind you a chipped B5 S4 would walk all over that... with 318 hp and 382 lbs of torque... but still, the b6 a4 would be a lot of fun. And b6's are much nicer to drive.
Plus, the GTRS kit with Revo software for the B6's kicks the ***!

Haha, well, I am sure many do... but still, you can pick up injectors for 200~ + 500 for the software... so my 750 wasn't far from the mark. I really never thought the injectors would ever be 500 bucks though... That's nuts! ecstuning sells many injectors for around 250... or the TT injectors for 399... so I figure, no matter how you slice it... apr is on crack, as per usual.

How much power are people getting out of A4s? I drove a 400AWHP 92 Eagle Talon yesterday... now i want something real fast. Haha

On the DSM note... a friend of a friend drives a 92 TSi AWD that puts down 576hp to the ground... 2.5L Evo motor or something like that? I don't know... it's crazy fast though.
