Might want to ask about the A6 in their forum to get better input. I had a 2004 A6 2.7T that I loved. I got rid of it as I needed better fuel economy (got about 20 to 22 in the A6). Getting 26 to 28 in my A4. I didn't have my A6 long (about a year and a half). It did treat me right that whole time. No mechanical issues at all. Kelley Blue Book the car and check Autotrader to get a sense what they sell for. Otherwise it doesn't look to bad.
