I've got a question tire rack has a set of 19x8.5 rims, and I would love some big tires i saw an a6 in the forum metion he has 19x8.5 and they are wrapped in 265/30/19's. I was just wondering if this combo would work with or fit on my 02 a4 3.0 Q M.

19x8.5 seems to be the most practicle all around but i seen some people run 19x9 all around though

 

ok so i know the rims will work but what about 265/30's are they gonna be to wide for the mechanics of the car (ie are they gonna rub anywhere? turning, bumps ect.)? what the widest tire (not wheel) you have seen?

 

They will rub with tires like that I'm sure. You may get away with it if your roll your fenders but i doubt it.

 

what size tires do you have and are there any issues??

 

I have 235's mounted on 19x8.5 rims with 38MM offset. You might be able to go to 245's but I any more and it seems likely they would rub on compression.

You can play around with the effect of different wheel offsets with this offset calculator - who knows, maybe you can find a combination that would let the 265's fit.

 

same deal as ^^ 19x8.5 with 235/35/19's with no issues at all.
