I'm looking into getting a B6 A4 in the next few months. I will be using it as a daily driver and for work. I think I would rather have the AWD for handling purposes but still want something reliable and easy to fix if needed. I use to be a mechanic so I can pretty much fix anything. I never owned an Audi before so I'm not sure of any problems they tend to have with the AWD or the FWD. I would appreciate an help you can give me. By the way I will definately be putting upgrades on the 1.8T motor too.

 

where do you live, you have snow and ****? i havnt heard of anyone having probems with quattro, but i mean whats audi without the quattro... but by all means if you live in a place like florida or down south and want to save some $ then go with FWD

 

I live in Florida so the need of AWD isn't really necessary but I usually see 02 or 03 AWD's selling for around $15K

 

If your gonna mod it get AWD so you wont have to much wheel spin. Like if you got Big turbo then AWD but the FWD is probly best for stock turbos or K04s ne thing else your just gonna have alot of wheel spin.

depends what kinda driving your gonna do with it, if you ever take it to the track the quattro will perform way better

get something else if you dont want AWD, thats the only reason i got audi, i live by them now, i always had mercedes in the past
