My car is 2004 B6 3.0. I need your help. Can you please check your front fog light grill for me (both driver and passanger). Can you see through the grill (meaning the back of the grill is open and you can see things behindit).

My passanger side is open but not the driver side. It is so strange.

oh they're made for the 1.8 ts cause the intercooler on the open side

 

The intercooler on 1.8t's is on the driver's side, so if what you say were true, the grille would be open on the drivers side.

 

My car:
Driver's side = open
Passenger side = closed

Intercooler is on the driver's side (1.8t). Not sure why the 3.0's would have it reversed though.

 

Could it be because 3.0 doesn't have intercooler so driver side is closed but open passanger side for air intake?

yup, i can almost guarantee thats it... audi is so amazing, lol. making such small adjustements for the same car, just different model levels.
