I was interested in installing a Pioneer Avic-D3 navi in my 02 A4 but was wondering if this would cause me to loose any information from the display screen in the middle of the dash. Does anyone know of the dash will still display song info etc.?

good question. i would assume so, i think the display talks to the stock radio. i don't think it would work with anything else. but then again what the hell do i know. i would rather have an rns-e unit intead of an avic-d3. i heard the reception on those isn't that great.

 

I did install a D3 in my car it is nice and you will only loose the stations/cd info display on top part of the display.
No big deal to me!
