Default Bad News...

alright so remember my run in with the deer for those who saw the thread about a month ago... if you dont seach, "run in with deer"... well anyways the guys from the shop called me today and bad news got worse... apparently theres minor frame damage, they can fix it but there goes the price once again... also the timing is off in the engine and theres some big engine damage... lookin at around 6-10 grand... insurance was paying but since they found the new damage they have to look at it again and re-assess it... cant wait for this one

Hate to say this man... But they're going to declare it totalled if they suspect there's engine damage, on top of frame damage.

I'd probably start looking for a new car.

yea as soon as the the frame is in question, it's usually gonna get claimed totalled. But you can still fix the car with the money...you don't HAVE to go get a new car, just depends on whether it's worth it or not.

Yea you may be able to buy it back and fix it for less and what they give you for a new car, then you could spend the extra on mods

personally at this point i would want them to declare your car a total loss, let them take that mess and go buy a replacement A4, its just a car, replace it with another one just like it and its as good as fixed.

Do you have total loss protection thru your Insurance company, or loan company? If that's the case, don't stress, you're taken care of, just apply for a new loan, and get a new car.
