Default Bad Start :(

Hey my name is Amar and yea i am new to this site, was really happy that i got my Audi A4 97 1.8t turbo. I made an account herebut didnt really have time to use it, so sorry for just coming here and asking for help right away. Last night i was about to drive back home from my girlfriends house and while i was driving the car just stoppped accelerating, i was pushin the gas and it just stopped going. Then I turned off the car and tryed to start it back up but no luck. So i got it towed to my friends house closeby , because I was low on cash at that time. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be??

Chances are the noise isn't related but it's posible. Could just be a heat shield, I remember having to remove quite a few from my BMW because of rattling. Again, check your fuel pump fuse first.

Is it Manual or Auto? And if its manual has it taken more gas to make it start going right recently?

Possibly a failed timing belt? Have it checked immediately.

OMFG, whoever sold me that car would be looking down the barrel of one of my hand cannons..... AARRRR i'm getting woundup and i don't even know you. If there isn't anything that the dealer (or person who sold it to you) will do after you have spent a good amount of time trying to get them to resolve it, you might want to do a ittle ebay searching. a friend of mine that has done alot of audi work told me when i bought the car "oil every 3k and a timing belt every 60, or you will be spending 6k on a new engine", thats always been in the back of my mind, I hope for you that they aren't really that expensive. i think all the 1.8ts are the same no matter what body style you have so you might find a parts car you can borrow an engine from.

so sorry to hear your not haveing good luck with this car, but i've been there in the past.....
