Bad Start :(
dude, where did you get your car from?
used car dealership or personal?
this is why you GOTTA HAVE A CAR CHECKED - someone suckered you into buying a car with an engine on the way out.
good luck getting it fixed.

That really sucks man call that guy to get the story from him I'm sure he'll say every thing was fine. If you can find one of his buddy's or his wife near by ask them about the car to that would be pretty dirty If he sold you a piece o crap. But any who try a foreign auto salvage yard you'll find a motor there if your lucky they may have one to drop in and go.
Wow, only two weeks. I'd definately call his *** and see what's up. There's got to be something you can do about this. I'm assuming that you got it from ebay? Maybe they have some type of policy??
If can't tell if you meant you bought the car from a private seller on ebay or was looking for another engine on ebay since this happened. But, if you bought this on ebay, you have some protection:
Maximum reimbursement is limited to the lesser of a) the purchase price of the eligible vehicle plus up to $800 in documented transportation expenses from the seller's location to the buyer's location, or b) $20,000 for any one eligible vehicle
2 Fraud protection provides reimbursement in the following situations: not receiving the vehicle; receiving a stolen vehicle; receiving a vehicle with an undisclosed lien against it; paying a deposit for a vehicle and not receiving the vehicle or a refund of the deposit; receiving a vehicle, but not receiving a title to it if and only if the Motor Vehicle Departments in both the buyer's and the seller's state require a title certificate for that vehicle
3 Material misrepresentation protection provides reimbursement in the following situations: undisclosed damage to an eligible vehicle; misrepresentation of the year/make/model (for Trailers, only misrepresentation of the make is eligible for purchase protection); misrepresented odometer reading (applicable to Passenger Vehicles and RVs only); undisclosed salvage title brands (applicable to Passenger Vehicles, Motorcycles, Commercial Trucks, RVs, Campers, and Buses only)
4 Per reimbursement processing fee: A $100 processing fee will be deducted from each valid reimbursement paid.
5 Minimum damage requirement: This is the minimum threshold of costs to repair or replace undisclosed damage that must be met before Material Misrepresentation eligibility takes effect. Note that the minimum threshold is "per individual component" (e.g., a commercial truck's engine, transmission, and frame are all separate components for the purposes of this eligibility)

Oh sorry i meant to say i was looking on ebay for parts of the engine or a engine itself, i got this from a private owner, But yea i called him up, we had anice long conversationand he said he will split the cost. And the shop that my dad tookmy cartois my uncles shop, hes working on it now.
Wow, you are lucky.
Probably legally he wouldn't have too. Unless he really knew there was a problem, like he took it to a shop and they told him the engine was about to die.
What about the shop you took it to to have the car looked over? They did not find any problems with it? Maybe you can get them to pay the other half, since they gave you the OK on it.
Anyway, glad to hear you're getting it fixed and dont have to pay for all of it.
