Default Bad Torque Converter on a B6 Quattro

Hi,
I had a CEL came on and had it diagnosed, found that my 2002 B6 quattro has a bad Torque Converter. I would like to know what is an impact does that do to a vehicle, (i.e, engine performance, quattro, ect..) because it is too pricey too fix.

Thanks

its what an automatic transmission vehicle has instead of a flywheel basically. It should definitly be fixed or it will cause damge to the transmission and also will probably start to give you trouble pretty soon, slipping and having rough shifts
