Battery dead?????

ok i have a 01 audi A4 1.8l battery went dead around 1 pm in the after noon(I was trying to go to lunch)This morning everything was fine,Also i hadnt noticed anything strange,I checked all the obvious gadgets to see if they were on...Nothing,
I guess my question is are their any tsb's or recalls none for battery failure....Thanks

probably not batterys can do funny things get the battery tested at your nearest autozone or similar store to see if its really bad, if not maybe your alternator is toast
