best parts....
I was wondering where I could go to get a short shifter and a cat-back exhaust for my car. It so hard to find and when i do find on or the other, their so expensive. I have a 1997 a4 quattro v6 2.8l afc.
go for an ebay short shifter. short shifter is short shifter does. the only real differences between an ebay style ss and a name brand ssis the customer service and quality of instructions if thats important to you. For the exuast i would go custom if you are trying to save money. Get a good muffler like remus or even magnaflow and get custom piping made for cheap.
Also try searching for such basic things, or look at our sponsors in the audi links.

Oh, I didn't know if it mattered or not. The one I was looking at was around $200 and the one on ebay was $30. I just didn't understand why. Where do i go to get a exhaust custom made. I was just going to buy a borla for around $800. Thanks

Not positive but the ebay ss might be made of a cheaper-heavier metalthan the brand name ones which isnt necessarily a bad thing. I honestly dont know enough about them to really say one way or the other, but from all that ive read, there is no real big difference.
My custom exhaust ran $600, but I needed cats welded on too... and that was everything, parts, labor...
My ebay SS ran about $40 shipped, the install was straightforward and it works great. That having been said I need to adjust mine slightly. Still, best $40 I ever spent.
