I know in BMW, the car i was going to buy b4 i decided on audi, should be 03+. Because before that there were problems with, wells omething.
is that the case for audi's?

A4 in the current years and B6 models 02-04 are perfect there is no real flaw with the design, therer were a couple of recalls so, in that event it gets fixed for free. I have one and ive noticed nothing wrong at all, its the sweetest car ive ever owned, by one and enjoy.
