Was a big Mod Weekend
:::::ADDED PHOTOS IN REPLY BELOW::::
Well, Saturday I received my VVME hid kit, and also my short shifter. I had alot of spare time, so I got right to work.
I ordered the 8000k kit, knowing that they'd be fairly blue... but to my surprise, they are fairly white after they warm up. I was glad about that, as I bought them on a whim and thought they'd be too colored. they're perfect. Install into my Ecodes was a breeze, and they are ecellent... also, only took 7 business days to receive them.
The short shifter install was fairly easy. It's the Ebay shifter for $25 shipped. The shifter in my car was damaged at the time I purchased it,and I always thought it was a short shifter install gone wrong. I had previously purchased all new bushing and retaining clips to repair it, so i just used them on the new shifter. The change was tremendous. It's very notchy and firm. the throw is great, but given it was damaged before, anything was an improvement. the bottom of the stock shifter is even with the top of the console. It's SHORT, but it's awesome.
I also decided while I was on a roll to begin modifying my dash. Someone hacked apart my wood dash trim to make room for a double din unit at some point, and never quite did it right. I stripped everything down, and relocated my digital climate controls to the location where my ashtray used to be. I cut and finished what was left of the wood trim to go around just the switches, and made my templates for the new dash kit and also the trim work around the heater controls. I'll be using a single DIN radio and placing 3 gauges below the radio in anticipation of a motor swap. hopefully i'll get the kit made and in around the start of the new year. I still need to decide what HU I want. I'm also going to do a complete rewire of the stereo, just for good measure. What's in it looks to be crap.
I also went ahead and ordered new wheels. The Moda R6's that I have now just aren't the look I'm headed towards. I ordered some Privat Netz in gloss black. 18's again, 19's are too much on a b5 IMHO. they'll be in and on around thursday of this week.
ALSO, lol I ordered my Seibon CF front lip. Rumor has it it may be a while before I receive it, as they are making them in small batches, and he CF is getting harder to get ahold of? that's kind of surprising to me, but I'll have plenty to keep me occupied for a while in the meantime.

nice, I'd be interested to see what your dash looks like right now....
the new wheels will look alot better, imo
I am not sure wether or not I will like the CF lip, but when you get it installed definately post pics...
what motor swap are you thinkning about?
All I can tell is that you have a 2.8...if you have a 30V, I would go for a S/C before ever thinking about replacing the motor...
well, keep us updated, definately a good looking car!

OK... LOL I expected that response... I'll upload some now. 1 minute.
OK here we go... sorry for crappy phone pics. It's the best you'll get for now, after wheels and everything i'll clean her up and do a legitimate photo shoot.
First one is the layout of the dask. I'm making it out of aluminum and have the aluminum dash blank cut to shape. It will be recessed and screwed to the dash structure with some surface clips on it, and a vanity plate will clip to it. The aluminum will support everything, and the vanity plate will be wrapped in black leather. everything on it will look flush mounted. there will be matching trim pieces around the heater controls.
the next two are of the shifter in 3rd and 4th, to show how insanely short the throw is, and show how short the overall height is as well...
The last one is of the HIDs, my car is dirty, and the headlights are filmy, and also not warmed up. but it's a photo none the less. they look much more blue in the photo than in person.

file size max... here's the HIDs
Also, I'm going to do a 30v swap, I'm looking for a donor car actually, preferable something rearended and trashed. I'll be doing a motor build on a stand before it goes in. I'm looking at supercharging it, but reducing the compression/overboring so I can run a smaller pulley. It's a long term fun project for me, so it's nothing i'm starting next week, but it's in the works none the less.
dash gauges will be oil pressure, boost/vac, and ???? maybe i'll lame out and buy the autometer clock. LOL.
J/K... with a mega squirt, i'll probobally run a AF gauge on wideband O2 Sensor.
