big problem....
so i got the codes read and they are as follows
P0102 MAF/VAF Circuit Low Input
P1137 Mfr Ctrlled Fuel And Air metering
P0302 Cylinder #2 Misfire Detected
now my mechanic said that it is most likely the Mass Air Flow Sensor, which can lead to a misfire code... what do you guys think?

Another way to tell if the MAF is bad, is if its running rough, disconnect the MAF sensor. If it smoothes out, then you are looking at a bad MAF.
Also check this, http://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1594531.phtml since the misfire is on #2 it could be the icm as well. And from how you described it, sounded like a lot of misfiring going on.
i replaced the spark plugs and MAF tonight and yet again the rough idle is still present... could the misfire be due to a bad coil? and one of you mentioned ICM... the idle control motor? b.c that was my thought as well... i am going to see if i can get a vaccum pressure tester from a mechanic so i can check to see if the cat is blocked.... i really need 2 figure this out b/c i am without a vehicle.... agh! thanks for the help so far
that is what i am going to do when i get home tonight, i actually ordered a new one in fom my work so i will have it when i get out of here... i will keep you guys posted... if this doesnt work, you thinkit could possibly be that the converter is bad?
so the audi is fixed finally.... ended up just being the #2 coil... such a relief, no i can send back the extra parts. i just want 2 say thanks to everyone on here for helping me out... i appriciate it
I'd like to add that prolonged excess oil will damage the catalytic converter. My advice is to keep the oil level in the middle of the safe zone on the dipstick.
Sorry if this is an old post. I found it on google while searching for "("added too much oil" converter)".
