Default Black Leather Faded... 2006 A4 Convertible

Hey, has anyone else had their (black) leather seats fade to white? The car's barely 2 years old!! It's not been left in the sun often, so it shouldn't be bleached. We thought at first it could be some kind of contamination from sun tan oil (for instance), but in any case, shouldn't the leather be more resilient?

We had a 2003 Sebring convertible last, and that needed a new steering wheel after 2 years because the leather had rotted. I hope this situation isn't the same!

The areas that have faded are mostly where you sit, but it's also affected the door trim. There's a white, faded, appearance that won't come off. I've tried a little leather cleaner with no success, but I'm loathe to mess with it too much, since this should surely be a warranty item (I've done about 30,000 miles so far).

Never heard of such a thing. That is crazy! Please post a picture of the seats and the specific areas.

Sounds like your going to have spill some black ink on them to renew the color. J/K!
