BOV will work fine on your car, however, being an automatic, you will not get the same sound.
It doesn't sound "rice". That is a matter of opinion. My Forge 007 DV with Carbonio intake is pretty near as loud as a BOV. I don't see the need of running a BOV for noise alone, when you can get that noise with a DV and good (key word) intake.
Many big horsepower 1.8t Audis are running Forge 004 BOV long term (years) with NO problems, and VAG COM logs showing no problems. Do an eBay BOV and you may not be so lucky. Run the EVOMS BPV if you want the loudest, from what I understand.
But in any case, there are other Audi forums where BOV is not such a bad word. But on an automatic, it's a moot point. You won't get the sound because the throttle isn't let up the same way.

Here. I know I post this a lot but its the only vid here that actually shows what we are talking about.

Thats a DV not a BOV, and thats on my K03.....you should hear it on my k04. I am shooting it off in this vid between 3500-4000rpm at 2000rpm you heard nothing. Now at 2000rpm its half as loud as in this video and WAY louder at 3500rpm. Just get an intake, chip and upgraded DVor get a Forge Splitter for some more sound, I think I am.
A true ricer would never be satisfied with that^.. BOV's are much louder than that.

You are correct. Sorry. I meant BPV, as in people claim it to be the loudest true DV/BPV. My post is edited.

And yes you can get the sound with an auto just not in the same way. A manual will make it whenever you shift. Auto wont. But if you floor it and let off it will. Or in tip let off the gas right before you shift and it does the same thing would I advise it.....NO. Not having to take your foot off the throttle is an advantage. Anyway I **** off little ricers all the time by shooting off my DV next to them in an AUTO. Watch the vid a couple posts up. Thats all in D.
