My definition of a Ricer, for the record, is any person that modifies their car for sound, and tacky appearance.
But one person's "tacky" is another's "sweet". That doesn't make it wrong. Just different. My 007 DV and Carbonio intake is loud as fugk, and most would assume it is a BOV. But is that ricer? I didn't make it that way to sound like that; it is a byproduct of the set-up I run that has the hp/tq and psito back it up. And I friggen love the sound, now that I've heard it.
Everyone's car is their individual taste. I hate seeing an Audi running on 20" spinners, but it's been done. I hate seeing an Audi run on air bags, but it's been done. I try to appreciate someone else's tastes. But I don't try and talk them out of it. And that's what everyone here does with BOV's. I like the BOV sound. If someone has it on their Audi, more power to them. If their car is still slow, oh well. Then everyone who beats them will think they're going to beat me, too. And then I'll have fun.

Ok, why do you say that? If you're running standalone you run a MAP sensor and take out the MAF. Back up your information before you start laughing at people that are probably more knowlegeable than you. Go onto AZ and confront mike-2ptzero (currently dynoed at 556 awhp) and has a Tial 50mm BOV
I would put money you are not more knowledged than me. You know how i know, because of you previous statements, thats how. And for your proof, you like pics?

ran it for 5 months and the only reason it not still on the car is because patty@forge sent me a splitter to test and give feedback on. Why, because i am knowledgable.

The 2.0t turbo system is much different than the 1.8t. The DV on the 1.8t won't even fit on the 2.0t. The 2.0t also has a different management system that accounts for a BOV when in use.

I did not read the post where he said he has a 2.0. i just jumped on the flame wagon

Okay look, you CAN run a BOV on your car. I have a friend who owns his own shop, is a pretty big gear head and he ran a 1.8T Jetta with an HKS BOV for the longest time with no problems. I know it works but I still am against it since we are still supposed to be running DV's. You are gonnahold more boost with full recirculation anyway.

WHY DOES EVERYONE WANT A CAR THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN F-ING RICER!!!!!???????

LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM EEEEEE!!!!!!!!
this is retarded, BOV's are fine for some cars, and do enhance performance, like in the case of my dads mazdaspeed mx5. from what i hear they arent the best idea on a4's though. OP, you wont hear the BOV anyway, you dont remove your foot from the gas to shift, so when you spike and build boost it will most likely blow off air at random, which, if im not mistaken, will hinder performance as you could be potentially losing boost under acceleration....correct me if im wrong anyone
