BLOW OUT!!! Coolant Temp Sensor
Alright....I am starting to get F***ING P*SSED OFF. For the THIRD time in three months, my coolant temp sensor has blown out. WTF?!?! All three times I have replaced it with the correct clip from audi. I talked to a tech and he said that he has never heard of this. I don't know what to do. I am putting it on right every time, and it still blows off. The weird part is that it doesn't happen when Im in full boost either. It happens randomly at half throttle. So this time I ziptied that F***ING thing down. I want to see if anyone else has had this problem, and what they did. Thanks.
you might be one of the few that can get a new car due to the lemon laws. talk to your dealer. my buddy got a new evo 9 after his evo 8 , WITH PLENTY OF MODS, blew the water pump 3 times. talk to the dealer. Audi of america might hook you up

From the sound of it the car is out of warranty, thats why he is doing it himself
As for the problem, make sure the clip is on top of the ledge of the sensor
How long after you reinstall it does this happen
like i said, maybe a month....and i dont drive conservatively. the wierd part is that it doesnt blow out when I am at wot, more or less when I am just daily driving it...and it has only happened three times in about three months. The audi tech thought I was putting it on wrong, so I showed him the third time, and he said I had it right, which I already knew, so now I have it ziptied. It isnt going anywhere.
You may want to have your coolant reservoir tank cap checked for pressure. If the cap is plugged its posible it could hold to much pressure in the system causing repeated failures from a weak point in the system ie coolant tmep sensor.
