bluetooth/phone book mmi

Default bluetooth/phone book mmi
my samsung fascinate paired seamlessly to the '11 A4, but my phone book has multiple entries for each of my phone contacts...like 5 or 6 for each person. So, there are 5 John Does, 6 John Smiths, etc. etc. and I can't delete the duplicates. Any ideas?
