^^ then the thread could be called "non enthusiast driver buying certain unnamed European brands because they require the status symbol associated to feel good about them selfs" ,because that is what I think you are truly trying to get at is that you are upset with owners that think they own the road because of what emblem they have on their hood, and I agree. I also agree that it does seem to me to have a tendency to e one certain brand over another but that certain brand still makes some amazing cars, the cars are just in the wrong hands(ie. not mine

from the land of bmw/audi/mb (1 in every 7 cars here), let me illuminate the bmw/mb mentality. @ the age of 30, i looked @ lexus, bmw, mb & audi. the bmw and audi dealers wouldn't even talk to me. it was unreal. this was when the mini and the c-class coupe first came out. cars designed to shift the age bracket of these companies lower. and no one would even talk to me. i managed 120 people over 4 counties, was the #2 guy in a $10mil year co, and no one talked to me. i asked for assitance and was ignored. lexus and audi, though, happy to earn my business. audi won out, much to my surprise. lets also not forget that here the bmw/mb owners will drive up facing you on your side of the road, and expect you to move. unreal. they'll just stare at you thru the windshield.

I just drove my aunt's new 3 series bmw. They have one thing on us. Door handle lights, so sick. I wish i had those. Also their lights on the door, when opened, are like HIDs. While ours, are like the halogen lights. But inside their car, there halogen, so its not annoying.

um hid lights in the door? ddo you think its a) "look @ me, i own a bimmer, " or b) "i need lotsa light cause i live in fear of being attacked when i go to my unjustifiably expenive car" mentality. i prefer my red, make sure the grounds clear and i don't want to draw the attention of muggers, door lights.
