Searched but can't find any suggestions on which boost gauge to get. I'm trying to spend as little as possible without getting something cheap. What's a decent gauge for a reasonable price??

go with VDO they rock

check all the classifieds here and on audizine. you'll get them for alot cheaper there than what a store would charge you

Stewart Warner and Autometer gauges are nice and a lot more accurate then a VDO.

I don't know if you have a B5, B6 or B7 chassis car but if you have a B6/B7 then I sell a pod made for it. Check it out at www.podi.ca

If you have a B5 then that pod is presently being modelled and will be released in early 2007.

Based on appearance id say AWE vent gauge, but I dont think
it fits the bill as cheap.

VDO is about as accurate as they get.

I hear great things about Stewart Warner and Omori, but I can't offer advice based on experience, just what I've read while on the forums.
I think if you're spending $15 on a gauge, you're throwing money away - If you're spending $300 on a gauge, you're throwing money away....catch my drift?

***And regarding quality for the money, I can't see how anything out there is a better value than MC Hammered's steering column gauge pod.

Please don't take my original reply as bash to a VDO gauge.

They do their job great but it is my experience that there are other gauges that are more accurate but they do cost more money as well.

How can I back that statement? Well when testing different brands of gauges I actually hooked up 2 boost gauges at the same time in my car to see how they would read and had a friend at UBC test them out to see if they were out of spec. I tested VDO, Omori, Stewart Warner, Autometer and Defi units.

And which was the most accurate?
