boost gauge help (pics)

Default boost gauge help (pics)

so i've gotten my boost gauge to run 10Hg minimum and 10 boost peak...i know this still isnt right. i think ive done something wrong in the hookup, but cant figure it out for the life of me. heres some pics

in the last pic i attached the plastic tubing into the nylon and tied it off with a ziptie

it has to be in the back of the gauge where the hose comes out.. Try unscrewing it and re seating the hose in there and use some locktite on the threads if you can..

what do you mean by "it" and which picture are you referring too? plz let me know...im anxious to get this project over with

I would get rid of the plastic tubing and run good vacuum hose from the tee to the back of the gauge. Everything else looks OK. I think your probelm is either at the splice you made with the plastic tube or the compression fitting for the plastic tubing on the back of the gauge. You should be able to find the vacuum hose at any autoparts store.

DONT USE LOCKTITE.....

Its should compress fit if you screw it on right

you were right defrazi...the plastic tubing going into the nylon was the problem...i taped it off right now as a quick fix but ill be buying some 6' vacuum hoses ASAP
