what was the brand of the boost gauge you bought the first time around, Sunpro?

bought it at pepboys for 30$.

 

that there's your problem (at least part of it). pepboys used to carrycrap - sunpro (although i had a set for temporary use and they worked), and the really good brand- auto meter. i never had a netami gage, but my guess is thatpepboys replaced their crap with more crap. i would get autometer againat least for the quality. good luck

yeah, someone else already returned it, or opened it up to steal a gasket or T fitting out of it or something, or had a bad one and bought that one and returned the bad one to the store. shame on you for buying open box without checking it out first. did you get your $30 back at least?

 

i returned it and got another one. this one wasn't open box. it was working fine.

 

sure your not in limp mode? when you go WOT it should read 8, and when your lighter on the gas it should boost lower. but if you got another netami gauge, it might just be that. did you hook it up to the dv vac line or back by the fpr?

 

i just hooked it up to whatever that had vac in it, i dont' know if it was the dv vac or not, its the red vac line in front of the engine.

 

i'll go return it and get a sunpro one.

my b6 boosted 9 maybe 10 stock and held 7/8

since getting my flash and my R1 fixed i spike 23lbs and hold 20lbs

great feeling actually getting to see the needle wrap around the boost gauge!
