Default Boost Levels

It seems as though recently when i am driving i will get a ton of boost in second gear, but when i throw it into 3rd it sounds like the boost is working but i dont seem to get as much pull. I am really new to audis and have only had mine for a month. i am just wondering if its me being paranoid or something really is wrong. thanks

Its the gearing in the trans that makes it feel that way, not the boost.

The gears are higher but you maybe shifting to soon altho the K family turbos are small and spool fast.............Do you have a boost gauge???????

It could be that by the time you get to 3rd your turbo is exhausted from the previous 2 gears if you hammered it.. The k03 doesnt have the best stamina if you know what i mean.

If you are getting out to pass someone, try shifting at like 5000 RPM. That way when the rpm drop while shifting, the car will stay within the power band.
