Default BOOST PROBLEM

Hello everyone, seem to be having a boost problem. I have a giac chip, 710 valve and new spark plus, all maintance done but for some reason when i first start the car its fast! real fast and i feel that puppy really pulling, but then after a few minutes i feel i have to rev higher for it to move and what not, i feel that the power is def not all there, has anybody ever heard of this?

I cracked a spark plug the 2nd day i got the chip due to too much boost, so i replaced the spark plugs and ever since then, this problem has been happening. All insalations were done by a liscensed giac dealership in Queens.

Check for stored codes.
Check for boost leaks, starting at the DV's & TBB
Clean your MAF with some MAF cleaner

Did you post this in the wrong forum?

is it hard to check these things? is it just checking plugs and wires or do i haveto take apart my engine to find these? I have no idea where to locate either of these or how to check them, so if you or someone could give me some directions, it would be much appreciated. Thanx 2k s4

MAF sensor is located on the intake hose between the air box and the turbo Y pipe. (has an electrical connector)
The TBB is the rubber hose in the center of the engine going into the throttle bodythat looks like a Y as well and tends to rip right in the center of the y leaking boost.

where is the throttle body, also where is the turbo y pipe? Also how do i check these things, now that i kinda know where they are? Is there any easy way to test it, or do i just look for a rip or something?

I think you might be in a little over your head.
The turbo Y pipe is the large silver pipe on top of your engine, the DV's are the two plastic valves on the front of the engine, and the throttle body is the thing right behind the TBB (thottle body boot)
You need to check for faults and checking for leaks for you would be just doing a visual and feeling around the hoses for any cracks and such.
DO A SEARCH! you will be able to find what these parts are.

LOL ^^^ My exact thought. But if you look at his first post, I'm not sure he has a 2.7t, my thought is he has a 1.8t & put it in the wrong forum.
