Im bored and just thought id share some of what I have learned from you mo fo's. Thanks I feel so smart. Correct me if im wrong on any of this.

1. BOV's = Bad for your car and wont win you any popularity contests by asking about them
2. Turbo's- Sweet
3. Chips- An absolute must with the 1.8t
4. Timing belts- Better figure out how to do it yourself if you dont have "cash flow"
5. Maintnance- Refer to above
6. Heated seats- I love them, and if they had girl parts.. Uh
7. Tiptronic- Those buttons of the steering wheel arent for the volume?????
8. Audi Symphony- The name sounds good but the sound sucks
9. Center arm rest- Proves that 20 yr old engineering can still be sucsessfuly applied today
10. Central locking system- Makes a whining sound and also refer to #9
11. Doors- Other people act awkward when using them because they are unlike any other car door they have ever opened/closed
12. Check engine light- Never got one but seem to be extremely popular among others (This is where I jinx myself)
13. Oil sludge- it happens, better use synthetic and updated filter
14. Snub mounts- Dont get one if you have an automatic
15. Leatherette- I thought it was called pleather?
16. Vag tool- A must have for anyone that makes their own car payment or is responsible for maintnance
17. HUD display- Its broken and so is yours
18. stock 150hp- If you have it, stop fooling yourself, its slow chip chip chip chip chip
19. Rear fog light- There is only one of those bastards, there isnt one burned out
20. Aluminum interior trim- Makes me feel sorry for the woodies
21. K03 turbo- Generates good efficient low end power with harldy any lag, goes to sleep after 5k
22. K04 turbo- Good mid range pwer, more laggy
23. GT28 turbo- Best all around, everyone wants it few have it
24. Silver color- Almost as common in these cars, as a Honda Accord in any given parking lot
25. Carbon hoods- No
26. Alteza lenses- No!
27. Aluminum spoiler- NO!!
28. Quattro- People love it
29. Opening trunk- Confuses women
30. Spark plugs- Copper is king
31. Coil packs- You might want to carry a spare in the trunk
32. 02 sensors- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
33. MAFS- A likely cause of many problems
34. Exhaust- Borla is bitchin
35. Mod Bug- A self attained desease causing an uncontrolable need for modifications to your ride which drains your (and some parents) checking accounts, and ultimately leads to premature engine failure, resulting in the purchase of a honda civic and/or angry bankrupt parents
36. 2.8 owners- Are guranteed to sometimes wish they had a 1.8t... And are people too.

Nah, just kidding. Nice list, but really, I don't agree with #36. I drive my 2.8 because I don't need a street machine, just a reliable engine and a sexy automobile.

If I have the extra cash flow in the future though, you can bet that bastard is getting the G2.

I totaly understand your lack of need for a street machine. I was going to make a #37 which says that 2.8 owners constantly reassure themselves that the 2.8 engine is just so reliable because they regret not getting a 1.8t. You deffinately wont have to worry about turbo's/DV's/ICers/timing belt tensioners/VAC-Boost lines etc... I considered the 2.8 for those reasons, but after owning a Maxima for a while I missed not being able to work on cars becasue that damn thing never has a problem. I wouldnt say that I was looking for problems, but I knew that Id be able to get my hands dirty with the 1.8t. And if i do the maintnance myself, i wouldnt be paying dealer labor rates. If I wasnt able to work on cars I deffinately would have gone with the 2.8. Not that you 2.8 owners cant work on cars
