Im not saying it wont flow more at all, it just seems pointless to me to do the test pipe and leave the stock exhaust. I am saying to do them together. you wouldn't get the full benefit of the test pipe with the stock exhaust, you're limiting it.

yea the stock exhaust will limit it but you will have nice gains with a TP however I do think both should be done at once just for the sake of saving time taking the exhaust off twice

So your saying if i go to catback exhaust, I will have a more restrictive car than if i were to stick with stock? Im confused... and if that is true, which exhaust should I get? Because as of right now I plan on buying http://www.borla.com/applications/lo...System/140100/

Is this an upgrade?

No, the boral catback is less restrictive than stock, as is a testpipe versus a stock cat. The borla you have picked is a good choice. In addidtion to this, you could replace the cat with a test pipe, giving even more flow.

Does a test pipe make it so illegal that any goon cop could pick up on it and pull you over? How loud are we talking here?

No, its not legal, but most people wouldn't be able to tell its on there. It will make it a little louder, but not deafening if you have a decent exhaust on the car.

I dont see where i was starting anything here. I am just giving my experience, mostly where someone posts a question.

Guy said" is it illegal, i answered his question, whats the problem?

I mean, here was my first post.....

the purpose of test pipe is to increase flow. If you leave stock exhaust on, you are not going to have any improvement. Also, this will do nothing for you without a big turbo and aftermarket exhaust.
An cat-back exhaust should be done before doing this mod. Do that first, or concurrently.

Why does it sound argumentative?

If it my posts sound that way I apologize. I realize some of my advice is against others opinions, but usually I am just trying to share what i know about the subject.

I guess Ill just go to bed and call it a night. So much for participating in the discussion.
