Default Borla Exhaust Issue - need advice

I purchased a Borla Exhaust for my 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro in October and had it installed. It was installed by a German Import Specialist whom I trust. I immediately noticed that the right pipe sits slightly higher than the left on when looking at the car from the rear. (when looking at the tips of the exhaust one can see they are not aligned).

This is bothering me because I notice it everyday and I was hoping for suggestions on how to fix this problem. I do not want to consider returning the product because I have already discarded my old exhaust and am very pleased with this product (aside from this particular flaw).

My mechanic tells me that the exhaust is made to form fit the car, so he cannot do anything aside from cutting up the pipes and rewelding them together.. But....I have had another mechanic at the shop suggest I go to an exhaust specialist or someone who is more willing to handle and tweak this thing.

I was considering going back to my mechanic and insist he throw it back on the lift and manhandle it a little to try and even it out....but the first time they installed the exhaust they had difficulty evening it out...but only tried once of course...I thought it was ok until it came down off the lift....I am hoping that if I have it put up on the lift a second time intent on being sure it is straight before they take it down...then everything will be fine.

Any suggestions?

tell them to fix it or just take it to an exhaust shop, they'll just laugh, sprinkle some fairy dust on it and all will be good with the tips. No realy take it to an exhaust shop, oh and welcome to the forums.

If you have a lift put it up in the air, and try to loosen up the exhaust clamps. Try to see if you can tweek it there maybe some adjustment there, but probably not much. If not take it to an exhaust specialist.
