i have bought a borla exhaust cat back with dp for my 01 1.8t and i have also heard a sound clip of it on my car. i was jsut wondering if anyone else that has one would be albe to tell me if they are quiet when driving under normal driving conditions and also on the highway. thnaks and here is the clip from the sight

ya i can testify for arif's borla.. its pretty quiet during normal driving, deffinately not as quiet as stock, but it doesnt drone at normal speeds, and just a little at highway speeds, and deep and throaty when you get on it, but not ricey. Check out youtube.com and search for borla for more clips.

 

Whats it matter, you bought it already, slap that bitch on and see for yourself... audio/video clips never do any exhaust justice

 

They are a little loud for my taste but they sound good. They would just be better with less volume. To bad there isn't a volume **** to turn them down.

 

ya i know i jsut dont want it to be to loud beucase i dont need everyone to hear me when im driving. when i rip it i dont care if its loud i just care if its loud during normal driving beucase i dont want to get annoyed and hate it

 

Borla/Apr/Neuspeeds wont be obtrusive during normal driving, its a low subtle growl. Not like the sound you get from a 1.25" pipe with a slapped on 5" fart can.
