I bought a borla cat back exhuast today for my b5, im really excited and can't wait to put it on the car. I was planning on getting the car chipped first but things changed when my stock exhaust split after the downpipe. It sounds really loud and i like it, but i do not think that is the best thing for the car. I will be getting the chipped with a new dv as my next mod for sure. Im thinking of going with GIAC since it is right by house

I used to be from Chesterfield, VA myself. I'm sure you are north of Richmond. Anyway, congrats on the borla muffler. Just remember, there is a "break-in" period for those, if you will. It won't seem very different at first, but give it 500 miles, and it will get progressivly broken in.

hey, does anyone have any idea about how much it will cost to have the exhaust installed once i get it?

 

2-3 hour shop labor @ shop rate ~75-85 = ~$250 give or take a few

 

I just got an exhuast also, im going to prop the car up and install my self

 

it will only take you about 20 mins if your mechanicaly inclined
