Brake fluid?

What kind of brake fluid should i put in my car?
I was thinking dot 4 or 5.1 any opinions will be appreciated.

Also i searched nothing popped up so dont flame.

Have you thought of looking on the brake fluid reservior lid to see what it takes? Mine says Dot 4 right on it.

It says G12 on top of the reservior. Could that be it?

Also looked in the manual could not find anything.

dot 4 or dot 4+/dot 4 superis recommended by audi. No reason to go 5.1

G12 thats the coolant fluid, look for the brake, its a smaller reservior.
i have a B5 and its Dot 4. yours should be the same. Not sure...look again for the brake reservior
