I recently repaired the light switch on my 96 A4 and when I took it for a test drive I noticed that my my brake lights were partially on and when I step on the brakes that my parking lights also come on. This was not happening prior to the light switch going bad. Anyone come across or hear of this problem before?

 

I would make sure the repaired light switch was repaired correctly. Make sure any wires are in the correct spot and tight. Since this only appeared after the repair that is the best place to start. Not sure of the cost, but a new light switch might be called for.

Also, not sure how brake lights can be partially on. Did you mean the tail lights were on?
