brake pad sensors

Default brake pad sensors

i heard my front pads grinding so i brought it in to get them changed. Then they told me that you brought it, in time and that ur rotors didnt need to be changed, good thing that u have a sensor in ur pad and it told u to bring it in???????? i told them that a lgith never came on and i didnt even know that i had this feature, but they said that they saw the sensors. why didnt a light coe on if it was time to replace the pads????

I think I can hear my brakes grinding too (faintly though) ... but the sensor still hasn't come on. How do I know if it's working?

Johnstef:woulda typicalmechanic always say similar things (that you need to change this and that) or do youknow this guy for long?

look in your manual and the warning lights like the fuel/windsheild liquid/ ect. thats where it would warn you.

When my light for the front pads appeared, there
was still plenty of material left.

my dad knows them ..and we ive them good busniess. we have three cars and they all go there. so i doubt and hope that they woudnt lie.

i ahve just learned that the light will also go off if you need brake fluid so check that out.
