brake sensors
hi guys, i just bought my first audi, a 2001 a4 avant and its great, apart from the brake sensor keeps sending a beep and i constantly have this in my hud (0). front brake pads are new and i replaced the rears today but this still keeps happening. it didn't happen when i first got it but now it beeps as soon as i switch ignition on. its really frustrating. a friend suggested the sensor wasnt reset when the front pads were changed. does anyone know how to reset them without the expense of a trip to my dealer.

RE: brake sensors
I believe only the fronts have sensors. if the sendor leads from the pads are not connected properly to the leads from the chassis your HUDs trouble light wont "reset" automatically, like it does when everything is hooked up properly. if you're still getting a light:
a connector, or two, isn't/aren't properly connected
there is a broken wire, somewhere
your replacement pads didn't have the appropriate sensor and leads built into it (read: wrong pads)
your brake fluid is excessively low
the sensor circuit is otherwise defective, and shorting out
