Default brake pads and exhaust

Hey guys...

i'll be changing my front brake pads on my 2000 a4 1.8l in about 2 weeks and was just looking for some feedback... how tough is the actual job itself... i use to change the brake pads and rotors in my jeep, which was simple enough... what do u guys think about the cross-drilled rotors??? worth the cash or no??? where can i find a good step by step diagram for the pad replacement? i know its here somewhere...

also, a buddy of mine works for magnaflow exhaust and i was talking to him the other day about doin mine... worth it? benefits? i don't know pretty much anything about exhaust work

cheers

Brakes are not that bad you can do them yourself ...
Drilled rotors are just for looks this days there is no diff compaired to
the vented or soild rotors.
You must be in Cnd ? Im from T.O myself
maganflow sounds really good on my 2.8
I droped both my resonators at the back and went with
one muffler it sounds real nice at High rpm but pretty damm loud
in traffic and low rpm
Im going to add another resonator to bring it down by 20% or so
but it will still have that Growl @ WOT

thats alright... ya i'm in mississauga, usually in toronto too...

the cross drilled rotors do nothing extra? faster cooling, more air circulations or anything? theres gotta be some advantage to them, no?

there sappose to move heat away faster
reduce Brake fade, or gasing between the pad and rotor
thats wat the advantages are sappose to be
but with improvements with brake pads materials
this is not a real big problem
Im in Miss right now, work the night shift on a Saturday night
grrrrh

I installed ECSTuning slotted rotors on my B5, and all they did was create tons of dust. I would go with oem from ecstuning.

Im on a Central Parkway West, its cool its my part time job
I spend most my time on the internet getting paid
so its all good

ECStuning is pretty good I got soem front end stuff fo my car but Shipping and
Dutys is pretty high, it sometimes ends up more expensive
If you search JRP racing in Mississauga there carry rotors and brake pads
for our cars
