Hey guys my brakes have been making a weird and scary creeking noise for a little while. It sounds like it is coming from the rear passenger side. I replaced the brake pads and the sound stopped for like a week and then came back. Do you think it is problem with the rotors? If I get the rotors turned do you think that will fix it? What should I do?

 

Yea sounds like its the rotor. Turning the rotor would probably fix the problem but is it more cost effective than just replacing it?

 

i dont think our rotors can be turned.. correct me if im am wrong tho, might as well get new ones

and why is that damn JDM cars u can turn the rotors a few times[:@][:@][:@][:@]

 

just visually inspect the roters.if they are warped or scraped badly then thats ur prob,

 

I was surprised how expensive it was to turn rotors ~$60. Then you have a thinner rotor which is more likely to warp again than a new rotor.

For another $40 you get a brand new slotted or crossdrilled rotor, or for the same price you can buy a new solid rotor. From now on when I get warped rotors, I am just going to replace them with new ones.

 

I never turn rotors anymore... I just buy new ones. Thank you china!
