Brake swap! new rotors and pads...
Hey guys, im about to order some x-drilled and slotted zinc plated rotors, and ceramic PBR pads.
is there anything else that i should order, aside form steel braided lines, that I would overlook?
ex, carrier bolts, anti-noise goop, etc...
thx -Z

I'd at least go a8 brakes up front... I think ECS had them on sale for 299... and yeah, stainless lines and fluid would be a nice touch... I'd like to do that over the summer, provided I keep my car... I don't even know what the hell I am doing anymore

yea, i really wanted to go a8 brakes up front, but i needa keep a few extra dollars around in case of emergencies, if i were to upgrade to a8, i would want x-drilled and slotted, or at least slotted. the main reason why im upgrading is because i get way to much brake fade on the downhill. Bigger a8 plain brakes will make me stop faster on the street, but if im at the track on or a twisty road, im still gonna get fade, and more of it, so im gettin x-drilled and slotted stock size
fluid will come with lines next month, waitin for that next paycheck
so there's nothing else i should get in terms of little misc. stuff?
i'm glad the a8 uses the a4 calipers, or at least the same rotor size, that gives us like a 1.5 stage, where other cars have to upgrade caipers when they upgrade rotor size. and that means big buks!

there's some pretty wickid roads that have a hardcore decline, after like 10 turns i gotta pull over and let my brakes cool.
im not worried so much about raw stopping power, i kno the a8 brakes are better for that, im just saying that i dont have the cash to drop on the x-drilled and slotted a8 rotors, i just want no more fade, and the x-drills will do that for me
