Default Brake upgrades.

Hey Guys,

I have done some searching on this but did not come up with anything that I'm 100% sure on.

I'm looking to potentially upgrade the brakes on my 05 USP and I'm looking for the best way to go.

I don't really want to drop 2-3k on a BBK if I can avoid it at all.

What i was thinking was using S4 OE rotors (345mm I think?), would I also need to upgrade my calipers? or would the stock guys do the job?

If the s4 brakes are not recommended, whats the best route?

Woops...

That was for B5's. ECS does have a lot of brake kits for B6's though.

Just buy good quality brake discs, brake fluid, and pads, and braid your brake lines. If you are going to be tracking your car every week, then by all means go and waste 1500 bucks on a flash brake system, but in truth it won't stop you any quicker than doing what i suggest... If you want the brakes to fill you wheel, then go ahead, but if you want better braking, then you are better off spending less cash and just buying decent materials for the brake setup you have. Remember one of the most important aspects of braking is the tyre. It doesn't matter what you do to your brakes, but you can only brake at thye level your tyres allow before they break traction.
