Default brakes problem and quest

1.8 t A4 99.5 when I slam on the brakes, the pedal shakes and it feels as if its hitting something. and you can hear a sound. at more than 35 mph its very hard to stop the car right away. I already replaced the pads and check all the brakes and cant find anything. any ideas?????
also a small question... How do you turn on only the fog lights without turning the head lights... is it possible????

sounds like you may have a bad abs setup (possibly a pump?...maybe a bit of air in the lines?...check for a possible break fluid leak?)...you can not turn on your fogs unless your headlights are on...sorry...good luck!

You should check the fluid level, and bleed the brake system, is the pedal hitting the floor?

Iwouldnt drive it until its fixed, you're risking brake failure and an accident.

Sounds like your rotors are warped. Did you change the rotors when you changed the pads?
