Default BREAK LIGHT issues

Hey All

I have a 2000 A4 1.8T and lately I been getting the BREAK LIGHT on the cluster screen. It goes on & off like last night when I start the car & put it in drive the brake light came on & as I drive for a while the light went away. I check the brake fluid thinking I needed some but i didn't any. Any suggestion on how to deal this problem and fix it.

Thanks

Are you getting the red "BRAKE" light on the cluster (the one that goes on when you pull the e-brake), or the "BRAKE LIGHT" warning on the information display?

The red "BRAKE" light is probably due to low fluid or a problem with the braking system. "BRAKE LIGHT" means one of your brake lights (taillights) isn't working (burnt-out, loose wire, etc.)
