Breather Hose broken

Breather Hose broken
Hi all,
I took my car to the stealership for 60K maintanance and some warranty work. One of my complaints was oil smell that I got from the car and they told me that the problem is not an oil leak but a cracked breather hose. They are asking for 163$ to chage it.
I figured I will do it myself but does anybody know if there would be a problem driving with a boken hose for another 500miles this weekend?
Also any sources on where to buy it?
How to install it?
Serkan

RE: Breather Hose broken
Checked ECStuning they don't seem to have it. Maybe the stealer itself?
HAha this is un believable. The part itself is 16$ at the dealer.... I guess its a one hour job to change it. Any headsup please...
Thanks

RE: Breather Hose broken
mine broke when i was changing my valve cover gaskets. they get really brittle with age, i mean REALLY brittle. its very easy to install but the part is expensive. i spend around $80 at www.thepartsbin.com. the only hard part about instalation is the part of the hose that tucks behind the intake manifold by the firewall. just be patient and forcefull and itll budge loose.
heres the part

EDIT: i just noticed you have the 1.8t. im sure that its no more dificult to install>
