Default bt guys, question.

I am thinking about getting a T3 turbo with a new manifold, injectors, software, ect... my question is: do i need to buy a new 3" downpipe for that turbo, or will my techtonics 2.5 be fine bolting up to it? will i have to get a new high flow cat as well if i do? thanks.

depends on what kind of turbo your getting if it will match up with the 2.5 one you already have. 2.5 is fine for a t3t4 its what i ran. 3.0 would be best. running a test pipe or no cat would be best

i have emission checks here, so that wouldn't work to well. the t3 should be fine on my 2.5 downpipe though?

you're the guy i met at RMR a few weeks back aren't you? you were talking with the kid with the apr stage 3 A4 when me and my buddy dave came up and was looking at his engine bay..

but what specific turbo are you looking at? unless you get a eliminator turbo(71r or GTRS) by ATP, nothing will bolt up to your stock HFC

no, i ran ***** to the wall strait piped and 24psi on racegas the time before that night. so i was good. just watching everyone else that night..

but i recommend anything Garrett. for starters.. but i wouldn't recomend that turbo actually. just too much work, DP, tuning, wastegate issues.

but what are you looking at for power? 1/4 times? such like that?

i dont wanna spend a hella ton of money for the bt setup, thats why i thought this way would be good because the turbo is cheap.
