Default Building a 2.8 engine

I have a 1999 a4 2.8 30v 5sp that I am trying to build the engine on. I am having difficulties finding performance components for it, any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

yes, when it comes to big gains all you have to choose from is a PES supercharger, again check those 30v links on the top.

Cool, yeah I'm basically trying to build this to take on stockish STIs hopefully I can do it under $10k... Might go a little higher if I need to, all depends on how much cash I'll have floating around...

uhh....you might have some troubles there chief. finding a audi for 2k....

and as far as a 2.8 goes....supercharger..$5000...cams, idk. exhaust, intake, port polish intake mani....chip...clutch...

might as well go for a 1.8 and get a bt deal...for under $5000...and be faster than that 2.8. just my $.o2

Supresprint makes the headers, 1400 usd, they require you to remove the engine to install them. so figure a 500-700 for install They are designed to work with the pes supercharger. Putting them on your NA un s/c will cause you to loose your low end. when pes tested them they showed a nominal improvement of 5-8 hp accross multiple runs. I was told that was to close to error diviation on the dyno.

NOS is hit and mis from what i under stand the 2.8 ecu has issues with programming.

There is a co. that makes pistons, and junk for the 2.8 your best bet is to call Matrix intergrated and ask about that. Jermy has some knowledge of the 2.8 engine. In my conversations he said it was a bit unrealistic to do most of that work, but it could be done.

As a note PES has stated that over 10psi the engine can have issues. In my faq at the top of the page you'll find dyno's and other info about the 2.8/3.0 engines. Most of the parts links will get you in the right direction, you'll have to select your car and engine to get the right part.
