Default Bulb blown out, time to go ecodes/projectors!

So tonight as I started my car cause I was heading out to coach, I noticed that my lights weren't as bright as they should of been. Got out and noticed my left headlight (lowbeam) is out..poo! But that's ok, just turn the fogs on (98.5) and bam looks like the light is fine So I'm thinking it's time to get some better bulbs from my local tuner shop. 5k Silverstars or whatever they are sound good?

I'm pleased with them. They were a marked improvement over stock.

Ok, screw bulbs I wanna get new headlights. Im thinking since I know within a year or two my car will be for sale, I wanna stick to a 2 piece (for the sake of easy replacement back to stock). Any suggestions or first hand experience with a particular brand?

Is there some way I could just upgrade the harness in the stock headlights so I can use xenon bulbs?

You can purchase an aftermarket HID kit for $200-$250, the 5000Ks will probably be on the cheaper side. The kits come with a harness, all the necessary wiring and fit perfectly into your housing. They are "plug and play" setups, very easy to install. I purchased a Helios 7000K kit and am very happy w/ it.

I actually bought the kit off a maxima.org group buy (used to own a maxima). I believe that the group buy is still available. Log onto maxima.org, go to the group buy section and look for 'maximabest's' group buy for the helios kits.

I was thinking about that HID kit as well, but I'm worried about the light pattern if I fit it into my halogen housings. Anyone have experience with this?
