Default burning smell?

Over the past few months, when I turn the car on and drive for the first 5 or 10 minutes, I smell a faint burning smell inside the car. I went to the front of the car and put my nose by the grill, and smelled a strong burning smell. any ideas?

check your valve cover gasket. if it goes bad youll leak some oil onto the hot engine block and manifold which will smell.
Also, if you have manual tranny aworn out or slipping clutch will stink like ***.

Could be your clutch... Hopefully it's not. Has your car taken any noticable change in acceleration right off the gear change? Well first off is your car even manual?
