Default buying a 02 A4 1.8 tomorrow

Ok guys I said this before about buying a 02 A4 1.8 but couldnt do it at the time.
But now I put money down on a black 02 A4 1.8 manual and will probably pick up tomorrow. The car looks in excellent shape and runs strong with 47,000 miles on it and comes with the 2year or 100,000 mile warrenty.
My questions are what should I look for when picking up and what ecu chip should I go with. Also what other mod can I do after the chip and wheres a good place to go in NJ for a chip installation?

Thanks

i say go wit revo but theres also APR, GIAC but remember you should upgrade your DV also that will cost from 30(OEM 710N) to 150 (something forged) depending on which one

u can look for a local dealer near you here

a DV is like a blow off valve but instead of blasting air in to nowhere it recirculates it back in to the intake system
BOVs arent recommened for our cars it causes us to run RICH

when u get chipped you will be running alot more boost and the weak plastic stock DV wont handle the new pressure and will eventually break

If you want the BOV whooosh sound you can either get a dual-port valve or get a BOV in addition to your DV. This is not good for the most part, but will give you the sound many people like "Show off Valve" as I put it. A dual port valve recirculates 50% of the air back into the intake, and 50% of the air into the atmosphere. I have gotten much better (yet more expensive) results with using a DV and BOV in combination. I think over a certain level of boost it is good to vent some of the air to help relieve stress on the turbo upon TB closing. Just figured I would add my $.02.
