Actually, I couldn't find anything for 99 2.8 that was significantly better than stock (and which I was willing to pay for) so I just went oem. I've never had a clutch go out on me before and I'm assuming the last owner was a hoon so I dickered the price down by 2g's since I knew it would need probably a t-belt and a clutch.

Oh baby, I got the car back last night, the 2k bill was worth it, new clutch is the hotness. I'm going to have to get used to the new friction zone. It's pretty kickass to have all 190 ponies at my disposal now. Plating it tonight, focus goes buh bye.

Hello All,

I am looking at purchasing a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T. It has 61K miles on it. I am purchasing from a local Infiniti Dealer. What should I be on the look out for?
Excellent choice...if it's a stick (manual transmission)!

I will tell you my experienced. I bought a 2001 A4 1.8T 2 years ago from a Mitsubishi Dealer for $20K CDN. Since I took a delivery of the car, it has given me nothing but headache. I never had a month of trouble free driving.
My biggest mistake was not buying an Audi but buying an Audi at non Audi dealer. I saved $5K in the original purchased but ending up spending a bit more than that plus some less peace of mind (which you can't put a price on). If I could give you an advise since you made up your mind in buying an Audi is to buy it from an Audi dealership. It will come with a limited warranty which will give you a peace of mind.
Will I buy another Audi? Of course, but it will be from an authorized dealership.

Welcome to the Forum!

As for advices on buying a used audi, there's plenty of threads that approach that issue in the forum. Just do a search and u'll find it in no time.

Audi stickers... not bad, maybe I'll look into that too :P

Good luck with ur new ride!
