Alright Im looking at a4's, Im switching over from my C class amg mercedes. I want the AWD and 5 spd to much =)..

so my question is, What if any body differences are there betrween the 1.8 and the 2.8 as the years go on? And which one is faster? Any thing to look out for when picking one up?

they look the same but the 2.8 has chrome trim around the side windows. stock the 2.8 is faster but with a few upgrades the 1.8t can be much faster.

 

if u want a moddable car get the 1.8T, lots of potetial. The 2.8 is good for all exterior and supsension but not much engine work other than a supercharger taht will make it faster and more relaible than a S4.

 

Because of the dreaded oil sludge / coke problem, don't buy a used 1.8T unless it has a full set of service records with SYNTHETIC oil changes.
