they put the Stasis A4 in a group of hoped up cars and ran them, well anyway what has got me baffled is they said it wouldn't do 140mph. WTF. did they not take the govener off.

 

It could do right around 140 but it is gearing limited, unless they built a tranny with different gearing then it could do past 140.

 

they have a six speed that runs out of gear at 140? WTF

 

Stassis has a b5 s4, norgaro blue with k04s, and a whole sh*t load of stuff. Are you confused a4 or s4, i think your thinking about the S4.

 

No man it was on there show on spike tv. today. It was that car cus They showed it and stuff.

 

If it's the same one that's in the new Car and Driver magazine (I'm assuming you only saw it on TV) it is in fact an A4.

I really don't like how C&D did that comparison. They seperated it by drivetrain types but still, they had a $70,000 gap between the least and most expensive car in the RWD/AWD section. The A4 was $30-40,000 less then most of the cars that beat it. Couldn't they have gotten an S4 or RS4 modded to about the same price as the EVO's and STi's? At least the A4 had a 5 star street driveability rating and the only other car that did was the Miata...and come on, which would you rather drive?

 

it just bothers me, I dont expect C&D to do a fair compairison, its not in there nature but there are people on here that have had there stock cars to 130 and no where near out of gears.

 

my car would run out of gearing around 140.....even with the gt28r and other mods. Our gear ratios are just so close.....you could just go get a 2.8 tranny.....I have heard it bolts right up to our motor (quattro version).

 

Was the car a B5? The only b5 tranny that is a 6 spd is the s4's tranny. IF it was a b6 then yes there is a 6 spd tranny.
